Friday vs. (Amazon Seller Listing Tools)

NOTE: This blog has moved to:

If you're selling more than 50 items per week on Amazon, you'll need a listing software program that will save you boatloads of time.

Two of the more affordable listing tools are and

I've been using now for over a year and I just switched over to

Do you use FBAScout and if so what does dropping FBAPower effect one?

@ Neal Williams - I don't use FBAScout, (I use Neatoscan) however I do hear (mostly) good things about it - provided you are able to get a strong cell phone signal wherever you scout (it runs on an android phone or iphone). Both services (FBAScout and FBAPower) are not inter-connected: you can use one without the other, and vice-versa. I believe if you get both, there is a discount for 'package' pricing

The owner of FBA Power/Scout is also running an internet radio show on Fridays called FBA Radio.

It's sad to see that those products are suffering!

It should be pointed out that you don't need a listing service that is specific to FBA. Some of the other services have been around longer so they have worked out the glitches, offer better service and do more (such as repricing). I also have a few items with bad sales ranks that want to keep merchant fulfilled so I'm not paying storage for a long time. I use Sellerengine to quickly scan, price and upload a batch of items. I then use the amazon interface to convert to FBA, print labels and create a shipment. The main difference through amazon is you print out labels all at once instead of as you scan. I've found the FBA tasks on amazon to be pretty quick and easy. It's the item creation (scanning, having default comments, bulk uploads) where you really save time with a third party service. I think Sellerengine can now list, label and create shipments for FBA directly, I'm just used to using amazon once the items are listed so I haven't bothered to figure it out yet. Nathan Holmquist's free "Selling on Amazon's FBA Program" e-book has a good tutorial on using the amazon interface.

Thanks for the comments Valuebooks. We've been doing FBA since it started, and while it's definitely not perfect, I believe SellerEngine Plus does a lot more for people than they realize, in fact, if you don't have the FBA features on your account already we can help you add these and upload your items directly as AFN items. Let us know and we'll set up a demo to get you up to date quickly on the FBA features, I bet we can save you some time!

I don't think browser vs installed program is really a downfall, but a preference. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Jordan... thank you for your honest comments and for letting the flaws of FBAP (FBA Power) be known publicly.

I agree with 100% of what your video said. I was with FBAP for two months and I had many many problems during both months and finally cancelled my service. When I emailed them with my problems I did get a quick response but the response was not a very caring one -- they made me feel like I was a bother. All I received was excuses -- one problem I had I was told that it was because I was not doing it the way everyone else does it (I did not trust the prices and checked every single one on Amazon manually) and that the program is not designed for me to enter my own price... then why does it allow me to make the changes? I too got duplicate entries and many errors on the FBAP program as well as once they were sent to Amazon.

I have not found anything that I like but will definitely try Listee out.

Thank you again for your review -- including the pros and cons.

JB - my experience with FBAPower has been completely different than yours. Your points were well thought out - especially with the Notes field and the downside of not getting a good signal for your phone.

The support from Chris Green and group has been outstanding. I even made a support call today and I was thoroughly impressed.

I use FBAPower and FBAScount. Today I am configuring FBARepricer.

I am going to take a look at both Listtee and Sellerengine.

I am enjoying FBAFinds - both you and the members are contributing to my knowledge.

I have used both Power and Listtee and I find both to be not very good. I also used to use FBA scout but have sinced gone with Profit Bandit which is only a one time fee instead of 40.00 a month like FBA scout...I encourage anyone to try profit bandit for the price it is worth it and I have had good experiences with support answering my emails right away when I have had an issue.

Thanks for the honest review Jordan.
I bought Cynthia Stine's eBook on FBA and received a 30 day trial for FBA Power and Scout. I haven't used Scout yet and I think Profit Bandit is definitely a better deal @ $15 one time. I had a question regarding PB and they got back to me very quickly and more than addressed my issue. Impressive! As for FBA Power...well...? I've used it to enter a number of items and have had similar issues as you mentioned in the video,Jordan. I did speak to their tech guy, Bob Willey and he was very helpful and friendly. I entered 17 CDs today and had more issues. Seriously frustrating as I could have shipped the "Batch" today if FBAP hadn't fouled the entries. When I went into my seller account to check, I found that all of my items had Red error messages telling me that these items are not listed in the AZ catalog. They are. Prices and other information were not transferred to AZ as well. I'll be checking out Listtee and SellerEngine as soon as I finish this post.
